KMXC-DB | Mix Country 106 announces the debut of Red Dirt Proud, a new weekly four-hour Texas Red Dirt and country music show hosted by award-winning radio personality JB Cloud, premiering Friday, January 23rd at 6 PM Central. In addition to the weekly program, the station will also carry Red Dirt Proud’s daily Texas Country News and This Day in Country Music History features, further expanding its commitment to delivering Real American Country Music.
Mix Country 106 announces a temporary freeze on its Tex Mix Top 20 song chart and New Crop Country Feature artist selections until January 2025. This pause allows time to refine the station’s music format, staying true to Texas country roots while incorporating a wider song selection, including popular 90s country hits. The station’s Bar Talk Happy Hour show will continue, with new episodes every week except for Christmas week. These adjustments set the stage for an exciting new year of curated country hits.
